What is an Open Challenge?
Perfect for individuals, small groups and smaller charitable organisations, Open Charity Challenges offer you the chance to join a group challenge and raise money for a charity of your choice. With a lower minimum fundraising target and the same superb range of exotic destinations, Open Challenges are proving increasingly popular. For you, the open challenges are a fantastic way to support a cause close to your heart.
We offer two payment options - Self Payment and Minimum Sponsorship.
Self Payment – you pay 100% of the tour price and fundraise as much as you can (we recommend at least £500.00) which will go direct to your chosen charity. You will be required to pay the non refundable deposit at the time of booking and the balance of the tour cost will be invoiced to you 10 weeks prior to departure. Your chosen charity will supply you with a fundraising pack and will support your efforts. Kuoni Events can also provide valuable information and help if required. Using this method, your charity receives your total fundraising amount.
Minimum Sponsorship – each challenge has a different minimum sponsorship amount. At the time of booking, you will be required to pay the non refundable deposit and then pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship amount which is paid direct to your charity. When you reach this target, your charity will fund your trip – your fundraising monies will usually need to be sent to your charity at least 10 weeks prior to departure. We cost our challenges to ensure that your chosen charity retains a high percentage of the fundraising target.
