Cancer Vaccine Institute
Introduction
The Cancer Vaccine Institute (CVI) is the only national charity specifically funding research to develop a better treatment for cancer through vaccines. Significant progress has been made with vaccines for prostate and malignant melanoma and many patients have benefited. Unlike chemotherapy and radiotherapy side effects are minimal. The CVI is currently developing vaccines for breast, lung, kidney, colo-rectal and cancers.
